Safety should never be taken for granted. We work diligently to ensure the safety of employees and anyone who may come into contact with our construction sites.
At Montesano, safety is everything. Family-owned means more than working under the Montesano name. When you work with us, you are our family. We are committed to creating a safe work environment for everyone, onsite and in the office.
A History of Safety
Montesano Bros. has completed many heavy highway and municipal projects over the past 49 years without incident because we strive for the highest safety standards in the industry. Our record is the result of daily attention to all company safety procedures by those who are directly and indirectly involved with the project.
Employees at all levels must comply with and properly execute our company’s policies for maintaining safety and occupational health. Additionally, all subcontractors must adhere to our stringent safety policies.
Planning for Safety
We develop specific safety procedures from the initiation of every project, incorporating them into the design of our construction sites, traffic studies, and field supervision procedures. We closely review entrance and exit security measures and closely monitor all activities in and around the construction site for safety. In our project design process, we carefully coordinate the loading and removal of materials and equipment with the public and construction personnel traffic.
As part of our continuous efforts to improve safety measures, we conduct multiple training sessions each year to ensure everyone is up to date on safety regulations. We also emphasize the importance of clear, concise, and respectful communication between team members, as communication is key when in hazardous environments.
Montesano Bros. insists on attention to detail, which minimizes opportunities for error and maximizes cost savings. Our experience provides the foresight for more efficient construction processes and our systems and field support give us the resources to continually overcome challenges and exceed client expectations.
